A guest in nature

Watch wildlife with space

An encounter can be special even when it lasts only a moment.

Let the animal have space

Use binoculars or a zoom lens. If an animal reacts to your presence, calmly increase your distance. Do not feed, touch or pursue it for a photograph. Suitable distances vary by species and location; follow local guidance.

Respect its habitat

Outdoor recreation can disturb wildlife and damage vegetation. Use suitable, permitted paths and respect refuge areas. An encounter can end without the perfect photograph.
