A guest in nature

Listen to nature

Sound belongs to a place

The National Park Service also protects natural soundscapes. Consideration starts with our own volume: keep conversations gentle and avoid playing music into the surroundings through speakers.

Make room for others

Nature is both habitat and a place for recreation. Our suggestion: choose a safe place beside the path, let others pass and pay attention for a moment. Quiet is no competition; people experience and access nature differently.
